      Do you know that the curtain track actually has Roman rods, straight rails, curved rails, curtain rails… (Uh… what’s the difference?)

      In fact, Roman rods, straight rails, curved rails, and curtain rails are different types of curtain rails. They are used to hang curtains so that the curtains can be opened and closed. Commonly used materials are plastic steel, iron, copper, aluminum alloy.

      So the question is, what spaces are suitable for different curtain rails?

1. Straight track - all-match king

      The straight rail has a simple and elegant shape and strong applicability. It can be installed on the side wall or on the ceiling, and the installation is flexible. Compared to Roman poles, straight rails are smaller and are undoubtedly the best choice for tight spaces.

      The straight track is more industrial in appearance, so the position where the track is installed can be preset with a curtain box. The curtain box can be a suspended ceiling slot, a wooden baffle, or a soft-wrapped curtain box.

2. Curved track - the terminator of special-shaped windows

      The magical curved rail, also known as the I-shaped rail, can be bent according to the shape of the window. Isn't it amazing?

      Many bay windows have corner positions, and this is the turn of the curved track. The curved rail changes according to the curvature of the window and perfectly matches the shape of the window. Therefore, if there are L-shaped windows, octagonal windows, and special-shaped windows in the home, it is right to choose curved rails, and you will no longer be afraid of light leakage.

3. Curtain rails - hangers for window curtains

      As the name implies, the curtain rail is the one that hangs the window curtain. Different from straight rails and curved rails, there is a layer of Velcro on the surface of the curtain rail, and this layer of Velcro is used to paste the window curtain.

      It is also worth noting that in order to prevent the straight rail hidden in the window curtain from sneaking out, the window curtain will enclose the head of the curtain on three sides, so the left and right sides of the curtain rail will be extended according to the width of the bracket.

4. The Roman pole - a flamboyant and capricious little man

      As the only decorative curtain track, the Roman rod is simply a high-value representative compared with the straight track, curved track, and curtain track.

      After all, appearance is self-willed, and Roman poles refuse to block any foreign objects, so if you choose Roman poles, you can give up the decoration of window curtains and curtain boxes.

It's not enough to know how to choose a curtain track based on the space and window shape. You also need to know how to identify a good quality curtain track to do it once and for all.
